Scooting through my First Mother's Day

It was brought to my attention this weekend by a dear friend, that I'm a horrible blogger because I haven't updated in a while.  Thanks Amber, for calling me out on that!!!  LOL

Our house hasn't been too busy lately, but it has not been quiet by any means.  Addison is a "Chatty Addi" as we like to call her, and she is constantly finding new noises she can make.  Her latest one, is blowing raspberries followed by a high pitch squeal.  It's super cute, and super wet!!!  She loves when you copy a noise she's making, it makes her laugh uncontrollably!  Poor Cody probably gets tired of hearing her squeal and then me squeal going back and forth for 5 minutes, but it's going to be his life for at least the next 18 years so I think he's just preparing himself.

In addition to Addison's new noises, she's also becoming more and more mobile.  She's a pro at rolling all over our house.  If she sees something she wants, she barrell rolls to it.  This weekend she added "scooter" to her list of achievements.  When sitting up, she can scoot herself across the floor.  I'm sure it's just a matter of time before she starts crawling all over.

On to Mother's Day....it will probably come as no surprise to you that I spent some time on Mother's Day crying.  Reflecting back on my life before Addison, and just realizing how precious she is.  Everday she discovers something new, and when she smiles at me my heart completely melts.  Each time I look at her, I thank God for trusting us with her life, and allowing us to be parents to this little angel.

We spent our day at my parents house celebrating Mother's Day and my brother's 25th Birthday.  We had a cookout and just spent some good family time together.  Addison, mom and I hung out in the house, while the guys did "man things" as Kyle put it.  (Man things apparently equals playing catch, and working on the tractor).

Reflecting on the last 7 months as a mommy, I can't think of a better way to look back than some of my favorite Addison and me pictures.  I hope you enjoy!!
