I have to admit that the way Monday started out, I wasn't sure it was a going to be a good week at all! First off, SNOW??? It's April and it's Michigan, but still SNOW??? REALLY?? That leads me to my next reason Monday was a rough start. I go to take Tucker (our almost 5 year old Chihuahua) outside, and he very literally puts one foot on the back step and then walks BACK IN THE HOUSE!!! I had to pick him up to take him outside.
So, then I go to get Addison....and all I can is WOW!!! I won't go into details but let's just say we were REALLY late to daycare and work on Monday. I'm so fortunate to have a job that allows for that flexibility without getting into trouble.
With Easter just a couple days away, I am working to try to figure out what to do for Addison's first Easter. I realize that I am a procrastinator...some things will probably never change! Cody's family had a tradition when he was growing up for Easter that they always got a toy that was for the yard or to play with outside. I've always liked that idea. Now, what do I get a 6 month old for outside? I'm thinking about a pool, but can't decide between the cute inflatable pools that they have now or the standard plastic pool that withstands the test of time. Moms - what are your opinions/suggestions?
And so with Easter right around the corner, I'll leave you with this picture of my favorite little Easter Bunny. ;)
A glimpse into our routine everyday life, and though it's simple it's most certainly blessed!

Getting Back Into Our Routine
After last week's crazy week filled with moving and unpacking, this was our first week to start enjoying our new place. So we started the week (well weekend) with Addison's 6 month pictures. I know she is growing, but it wasn't until looking at her 6 month pictures compared to the pictures she had taken at 8 weeks that I see such a huge change. I may be biased, but I think she is just getting cuter and cuter everyday. I'll be posting the pictures soon!
Wednesday was Addison's 6 month check up. She weighed 18lbs 5.5 oz, and was 27 inches long. She's in the 87th percentile for both height and weight, and is in the 98th percentile for head circumference!!! Doctor said, "Beauty and Brains!" LOL
Wednesday evening my parents came over to help hang some pictures in the house, because I was having a Jewel Kade party Thursday evening, and Cody needed to get to sleep. I'm so thankful to have such amazing parents that would come and help me with that. Thanks to them, my house now feels and looks like home.
So we've had a good week, until this morning! Poor Cody must have turned his alarm off this morning and ended up missing work. I know he was really kicking himself for turning off the alarm, and in turn not getting paid for today. On the plus side though, he gets a whole day just Daddy and Addi. They used to have at least one a week, but it's been at least a month or two since that happened, so I'm sure she is loving it today.
Hope you all have a great and blessed week!!

Welcome to our blog
Hello Everyone!!
I have been contemplating starting a blog for a couple of weeks now, and decided since Addison is growing so fast and things are constantly changing in our lives this was the best way to keep out of town family up to date on all of our happenings!! (Plus I really enjoy reading my friends' blogs, even some that I see everyday!)
So big things happened this week!! First off, we are officially in our new place. We love all of the extra space we have, and the little yard too! We've never had a place with our own washer and dryer, so I really feel like a grown up now! :-) We are getting settled in, and trying to make it feel like home. I had fears that Addison would have trouble adjusting because she's never been a good sleeper at places that weren't home. But, she is doing GREAT!!! She has been sleeping through the night ever since we moved in! SUCH A RELIEF!!
Addison has had some big milestones this week! She started saying "Mama!" This truly melted my heart and still brings tears to my eyes! She's also become a master of sitting up on her own! I don't know when she got so big! She celebrated 6 months of life on Wednesday, and Cody and I could not be happier to be her parents! Watching this little girl grow and discover new things is truly life's greatest blessing!
This is my favorite picture of her this week, since it shows all her new things, and also shows another minor celebration in our home this week. :-)
